Powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine with Quattro system.
Audi is showcasing its latest high-performance version of the A7 Sportback car, the RS7, at the on-going Auto Shanghai 2015.
The 2015 Audi RS7, which was revealed at the Moscow Motor Show last year, gets enhancements both inside and out similar to its stablemates A7 and S7, with hardly any change in its mechanical specification. The 4.0-liter TFSI V8 Twin-Turbo engine in the revised car pumps out 560 hp and 700 Nm of torque as before.
An 8-speed ‘Tiptronic’ gearbox with a tall eighth gear, tuned for sporty performance, directs the power of to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The engine also features cylinder on demand (COD) system for improving efficiency.
On the outside, the 5-door coupe exhibits a long engine hood, flowing C-pillars and the sharply sloping rear end - the aesthetics unique to the A7 range. Typical of RS cars, the RS7 sports a singleframe black honeycomb grille and the central front air inlet that bears a large 'Quattro' moniker.
The cabin of the Sportback is dominated by the RS sport seats, a large driver-information display screen with Google Earth feature, new dashboard graphics, entertainment system and improved telematics.
The performance car comes with adaptive air suspension with standard adaptive damping, integrated with Audi’s drive select system, a dynamic steering with continuously variable steering ratio, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), carbon fiber-ceramic discs, Matrix LED technology, and an optional 21-inch cast aluminum alloys.
Audi India sells the RS7 since early last year, and is expected to launch the update this year.
