Royal Enfield has added another new colour to the Continental GT. The 535 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled café racer would now be available in a new GT Black colour apart from the already existing Red and GT Yellow colours.
Currently exclusive to India, it will be immediately available through the company's dealerships across the country, for no extra cost, priced at INR 2,13,142/- on-road, Delhi.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT takes inspiration from its original 1965 motorcycle with the same name and relies on the philosophy of uncomplicated, approachable hands-on 'pure motorcycling' experience. The 1965 model was one of the last production British built Royal Enfield motorcycles before the company ceased its British production in 1969.
The current Continental GT's stretched-out, flat fuel tank, low handlebars and rear set footpegs serves as a reminder of the legacy left behind by the original motorcycle.
For the current Continental GT, Royal Enfield had gone back to its roots by working with UK-based Harris Performance to create the motorcycle's double cradle chassis, which is mated to new 41 mm front forks and twin gas-charged Paoli rear shocks. The motorcycle comes stock with the grippy Pirelli Sport Demons at both front and rear.
