Feature a new Engine Management System.
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), the 50-50 joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, launched the Eicher Pro 6000 Series of heavy duty trucks in India today. Developed in collaboration with the Volvo Group, the company launched the Eicher Pro 6031 and 6025 haulage trucks and the 6025T tipper.
The 6031 has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 31 tonne with an 8x2 drive, the 6025 is a 25 tonne 6x2 while the 6025T is a 25 tonne 6x4. The trucks are powered by the VEDX5 and VEDX8 engines, and feature a new generation engine management system (EMS 3.0). The Pro 6000 Series also get onboard diagnostics, fuel coaching and cruise control.
The 6031 features the VEDX5 engine which is a four-cylinder BS-3 compliant engine capable of producing 210 bhp at 2,200 rpm and 825 Nm of torque between 1,200 to 1,600 rpm. It gets a hydraulically actuated clutch with a 6-speed transmission.
VECV has also revealed the detailed specifications of the Pro 6031. It has a wheelbase of 6,150 mm with a twin steer front axle and a heavy duty fully floating rear axle.
Semi elliptical laminated leaf springs with hydraulic type double acting telescopic shock absorbers up front and semi elliptical laminated leaf springs with bell crank mechanism at the rear work out suspension duties.
