Gets a host of cosmetic and feature updates.
Dealers of VW India have started accepting bookings for the 2015 VW Vento (facelift), which is expected to launch later in the month (reportedly on June 23). The booking amount is INR 75,000, and deliveries for early customers are promised to take place by the end of this month.
VW say that they have made cosmetic as well as feature changes for improved convenience on the Polo-based sedan. Like its badge-engineered sibling, the Skoda Rapid, the Vento facelift too benefits from cruise control now. Other features that have been added include a dead pedal, power folding function for the wing mirrors, a chilled glovebox and an external boot release button.
VW's designers have made little changes to the interior of the 2015 Vento. The sedan will now be offered with a ‘Cloud Titanschwarz’ dashboard color on the Trendline and Comfortline variants and a 'Walnut desert beige’ for the Highline.
Outside, the 2015 Vento gets a new three-slat chrome grille, a new front bumper with a chrome strip and redesigned foglight enclosures, and the creases on the bonnet have been made sharper as well. Designers have included 3D taillights with an LED effect, new rear reflectors, a chrome strip for the bootlid and rear bumper and have lowered the positioning of the 'Vento' and engine badges.
