The side profile is identical, but for the new alloy wheels.

The real changes are on the inside with a flat-bottom steering wheel, new interior trims, a colour MID (Multi Information Display) and a new infotainment system. The redesigned LED taillamp differentiates the MY2015 Sharan's rear from its predecessor's.

The said system will be available in two screen sizes: 5-inches and 6.5-inches, and the latter will can also be specified with navigation features. It's compatible with both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. With the App Connect ability, it enables users to stream contents from their smartphone screen onto the display.

Updated engines, better safety features, and the new infotainment system round up the changes.

Mechanically, while the platform remains the same, the engines are tuned for better performance. There are five engines to choose from, with max power ranging between 115 PS on the base diesel and going all the way up to 220 PS on the top-spec petrol. Except the base diesel, the engines are available with a 6-speed DSG transmission, but 4Motion all-wheel drive is exclusively available on the mid-spec 150 PS diesel.
