Gets a new infotainment system with a touchpad.
Mercedes-Benz India announced that the new generation C Class, which has its market launch on November 25, will be previewed at an IT exhibition in Bangalore next week. The 2015 C Class will be shown at the 2014 CeBIT exhibition, which takes place from November 12-14 at BIEC, Bangalore.
Mercedes confirms in the press release below that the new C Class will come with the new age Audio 20 Version 5.1" infotainment system which uses a fingertip-based touchpad to navigate through the interface.
For the Indian market, Mercedes is expected to offer the C Class with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, both units being four-cylinder motors. The diesel engine would produce about 170 hp and 400 Nm of torque, and the petrol's outputs would be 184 hp and 300 Nm. Both engines will be paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission connected to the rear wheels.
The cabin space of the sedan is improved compared to the older model, thanks to an 80 mm increase in wheelbase, a 40 mm increase in width and a 95 mm extension in overall length.

Like the current model, the new C Class would be assembled at the company's Pune facility by way of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits.
