Here's another leaked image of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C Class, courtesy of imageshack.us. The next generation C Class is to be announced on December 16th, following which the sedan will be world premiered at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014.
Resembling a mini S Class, the new C Class is built on Mercedes's MRA (Mercedes Rear Wheel Architecture) platform, using a hybrid aluminium construction (39 percent of the body shell will use this material). As a result, the new C sheds about 100 kg compared to its predecessor.
Apart from the sedan you see in this image, there will be four additional bodystyles of the new C Class (estate, coupe and convertible bodystyles are confirmed for now).
Initially, the new C Class will be available with a single diesel engine, and two petrol engines. The diesel motor, which is expected to be the volume seller, is the same 2,143 cc four-cylinder unit producing power in the whereabouts of 170 hp. The petrol engines will be a 1.6-liter 156 hp unit and a 1.8-liter 184 hp unit.
