Only one variant will be available in India.
The 2015 Audi TT Coupe will be launched in India on April 23. Audi India has said that it will launch one new product each month for the next 5 months, and the TT will kickstart this product offensive.
Based on the modern MQB platform, the new TT is 50 kg lighter than its predecessor despite having a 37 mm longer wheelbase. For the Indian market, Audi will launch the 45TFSI variant which is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine developing 230 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The more powerful TTS which makes 310 PS and 380 Nm will not be on offer, at least initially.
The TT 45TFSI sends its power to all wheels via the brand's Quattro AWD system and a 6-speed DSG transmission. The 2015 TT catapults to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and hits a top-speed of 253 km/h.
The tech-laden sportscar gets Audi's Virtual Cockpit which integrates the MMI screen to the instrument cluster. The jet-turbine like AC vents get integrated controls for temperature adjustment thus freeing up space in the center console.

The new TT will be imported as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) from Audi's Hungarian plant, which commenced manufacturing the sportscar in August last year. Going forth, Audi India could also consider the TT diesel which combines the appeal of a sportscar with the frugality of a 2.0-liter TDI engine.
