The Suzuki Gixxer launched on Tuesday in Nepal by authorized distributor VG Automobiles at an introductory price of NPR 229,900 (INR 1.42 lakhs) has been showcased at the ongoing Nepal Auto Show (NADA 2014).
The Suzuki Gixxer sources power from a 154.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with SEP technology (Suzuki Eco Performance) and is ridden via a five-speed gearbox. It develops a power output of 14.59 bhp and a torque of 14 Nm.
Measuring 2,050 mm long, 785 mm wide and 1,030 mm tall, the bike's wheelbase, saddle height and ground clearance are 1,330 mm, 780 mm and 160 mm respectively. The motorcycle's kerb weight is 135 kg and the fuel tank capacity is 12 litres.
The front tire measures 100/80-17 and the rear tyre is of 140/60R-17. The motorcycle is suspended by telescopic forks in front and a monoshock at the rear. A complete digital dashboard and first-in-class dual exhausts (housed in a single canister) are standout features.
The Gixxer is positioned above the GS150R, and is priced in India at INR 79,809 (on-road New Delhi). The official Indian launch will take place on the 9th of September.
