The pricing of the Suzuki Gixxer motorcycle has been revealed on the company's website ahead of a formal launch which is expected anytime soon.
The Yamaha FZ FI V2.0 rival is priced at INR 79,809 (on-road New Delhi). The bookings are open already.
The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by a 154.9 cc single-cylinder air cooled engine with SEP technology (Suzuki Eco Performance) mated to a 5-speed gearbox. While the leaked brochure indicated the power output to be 14.1 PS ± 5%, the official website says it is 14.8 PS (14.59 bhp). The torque output stands at 14 Nm.
The Gixxer is positioned above the GS150R which is priced at 76,340 (on-road New Delhi). The bike is 2,050 mm long, 785 mm wide and 1,030 tall. The wheelbase, saddle height and ground clearance stand at 1,330 mm, 780 mm and 160 mm respectively. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 135 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.
The front tyre measures 100/80-17 while the rear tyre is of 140/60R-17. Like its primary rival, the latest Suzuki is suspended by telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear. Highlights of the equipment list include a fully digital dashboard and the first-in-class dual exhausts (housed in a single canister).
