PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has launched the Honda Freed at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2014 (IIMS 2014) with minor body changes and equipment upgrades.
Pertaining to the Type E and Type S variants, the Type E gets a new larger chrome grille, rear combination lamp design, rear camera and a touchscreen display. Also on offer are steering-mounted buttons for audio and an ISOFIX point.
The Type S comes with a foglamp, black interior, steering-mounted audio controls and ISOFIX.
Both variants retain their mechanical kit which is composed of the 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC (petrol) engine that develops 118 bhp and 146 Nm of torque, paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. The car is 4,215 mm long, 1,700 mm wide, 1,740 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,740 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm.
The new Honda Freed is sold at a starting price of 226.5 million rupiah (INR 11.51 lakhs) for the Type A, whereas the top-end Type S variant is sold at 284.5 million Rupiah (INR 14.45 lakhs). The product positioning is above Mobilio.
