Honda has launched the fourth-generation Honda City in Indonesia at a base price of 277 million Rupiah (Rs 14.58 lakh).
The City, in Indonesia, gets just the one 1.5 liter SOHC i-VTEC engine that produces power of 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and a torque of 14.8 kg.m at 4,600 rpm.
All variants of the Honda City sold in Indonesia get dual front airbags. The Honda City i-type ES contains side airbags and side curtain airbags for the driver and passengers. ISOFIX and tether are available. It also gets various safety features ABS+EBD+ Brake Assist (BA), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) that automatically turns on hazard lights in the event of sudden braking.
The Indonesian City gets a new feature called the Brake Override System, which, Honda says is a smart braking technology that detects when the foot is stepped on the gas and brake pedals simultaneously, and automatically prioritizes the braking function.
The sedan is available in three variants, namely S, E and ES. There is a choice of colors like White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, and a new color, Golden Brown Metallic, has been included.
The S manual variant costs 277 million Rupiah (Rs 14.58 lakh) and the S CVT at Rp 287 million (Rs 15.10 lakh), E manual at Rp 290 million (Rs 15.26 lakh), E CVT at Rp 301 million (Rs 15.84 lakh) and the ES variant is available for Rp 321 million (Rs 16.89 lakh).
