The Suzuki Swift is celebrating its 30th birthday with the launch of the limited edition 'Swift S-Edition' in the Netherlands. Only 275 units will be made in five body colors with a contrasting white stripe on its hood, a white roof and spoiler.
Other exterior changes include "specially designed" 16-inch alloy wheels, black side skirts and wheel arches, a stainless steel trim on the tailgate, S-Edition badge on the bootlid and a twin-exhaust finisher.
Inside, the S-Edition gets a door sill with an exclusive number, sporty pedals, a white finish for the shifter knob, "luxury" floor mats and 'Swift' embroidered logo on the front seats. The fully-loaded variant gets cruise control, Radio/CD/MP3-player, ABS with EBD, ESP and seven airbags, including a knee airbag.
The S-Edition is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine producing 94 PS at 6,000 rpm and 118 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Recently, Suzuki launched a Swift SZ-L Special Edition in the UK. The SZ-L, like the S-Edition, gets a contrast white roof and is available only with the 1.2-liter petrol engine with a manual transmission. The SZ-L however, is limited to 500 units.
The Swift S-Edition priced at EUR 17,499 (INR 14.9 lakhs).
