The 2014 Mercedes S Class is yet to go on sale. However, there's already a limited edition model called the S Class Edition 1.
So how do you make a limited edition model of the world's best car?
On the outside:
The Edition 1 S Class gets two exclusive colors. A bright diamond white metallic color or a Blue anthracite finished metallic color. Apart from the colors, the Edition 1 S Class will feature the LED Intelligent light system as standard. A huge panoramic sunroof and a Edition 1 badge on the fender of the car complete the exterior changes of this limited edition.
On the inside:
The Edition 1 S Class features a very exclusive interior package. The seats are draped with Nappa leather with contrast stitching and roof lining. Even the sun visors of the car are covered with leather.
The top of the instrument panel, the center armrest at the front and the rear and the door panels are covered in a microfiber leather called DINAMICA. The grab handles of the car are also covered in Nappa leather with contrast stitching and there are many illuminated 'Mercedes Benz' logos on the sill plates.
The seat back pockets of the driver and the passenger side are made to feel like 'ruffled leather'. The interior can be had in two colors: Deep sea blue or Satin beige.
The interior is largely made of an exclusive designer Myrtle Brown with a glossy finish. Mercedes emphasized that only metal, wood or leather was used inside the new S Class. You also get an 'Edition 1' badge located in the center of the dashboard.
Optional features on the standard S Class such as the Air Balance package, ambient lighting package, parking package and driving assistance pack plus are now featured standard on the Edition 1 S Class.
