Today Bentley decided enough is enough with teasers and renderings, and uploaded images of the next generation sedan on its website.

In the previous teaser Bentley had released, we had a good idea of the profile of the car. In essence, the Flying Spur is a 4-door sedan version of the Bentley Continental to explain things in a simple manner.

The 2014 model gets an overhaul to direct the Flying Spur's design inline with the brand's current design language. The front receives new headlamps with the daytime running lights, a feature that is being embodied on all Bentley's now.

The side profile of the car sees some modifications to the windows and the roofline. The most prominent change is at the rear however. The previous vertically stacked tail lights now give way to horizontally profiled ones.

The new Flying Spur is powered by a 6.0-litre, twin turbo, 48-valve W12 that delivers 616 bhp at 6,000rpm and 800 Nm of torque from only 2,000 rpm. It is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that shifts in under 200 milliseconds. The new powertrain is about 13% more fuel economical than the outgoing model and endows it with a top speed of 322kph.

The car is available with 17 standard paint options and over 100 extended paint options. The redesigned body sits on 19 inch wheels, while 20-inch and 21-inch wheels are optional.

The interior of the sporty luxury sedan has been updated as well with higher quality materials. The sound insulation is better thanks to a new muffler and the insertion of sound deadening materials around the cabin, use of better underfloor aerodynamics and the use of acoustic glass.

Bentley will launch the new Flying Spur at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.
