Mercedes-Benz India today inaugurated their Center of Excellence facility at their Chakan plant in Pune, Maharashtra, similar to a service that is available at the plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. The facility was inaugurated by Matthias Lührs, Chairman of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz India and Vice-President-Global Sales, Mercedes-Benz and Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

Accessible by its elite group of customers, the Center of Excellence facility houses models such as the SLS AMG, SLK 55 AMG, E 63 AMG, G 63 AMG, SLK Class and CLS Class. The facility also houses a helipad for its discerning customers to fly-in and out, either using their own choppers or through the service offered by Mercedes-Benz.

The facility provides a virtual preview for customers who wish to customize their cars. From the leather used on the seats to the color of stitching on the steering wheel, an iConfigurator can be used to decide all such parameters before ordering through this service.

Matthias Lührs, Chairman of the Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz India & Vice-President-Global Sales, Mercedes-Benz said -

We are delighted to inaugurate the ‘Center of Excellence’ in India. This one of its kind experience for our customers will ensure they live our complete brand experience and are able to personalize our specialty cars with their tastes and preferences.
