Japan - Limited edition Mercedes B180 Northern Lights Black Edition bows

Having launched the B Class diesel variant just a few minutes ago here in India, Mercedes-Benz introduces a limited model dubbed 'Northern Lights Black edition' based on the B180 variant in Japan. The B180 is the base variant of the B Class in the Japanese market.

This is the third Mercedes-Benz special edition exclusive to the Japanese market launched in 2013 (G550 Night Edition and the C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition being the other two) of which 250 units will be made. The starting price has been set at 3.36 million yen (20.29 lakh rupees).

The exterior differs from the standard specification through its eye catching purple paint, bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lamps.

The cabin is packed with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats that boast of a memory function, parking assistance, tray tables, Northern Lights Black badges, special seat covers, under-seat storage box and Easy-Vario-Plus (flexibly folding front and rear seats) which expands loading volume to 1,995 liters.

The mechanical carriage is the same as the regular B Class, with a 1.6-liter petrol engine under the bonnet, producing 122 PS of peak power and 200Nm of peak torque.

Deliveries of the Mercedes B180 Northern Lights Black Edition are scheduled from the end of August.
