BMW India has launched the 6 Series Gran Coupe in India at an ex-showroom price of 86.4 lakhs.
Sales of the vehicle starts this month across India. It is presented in one variant, powered by a diesel engine.
BMW launched the 6 Series brand in India in March 2011 with the convertible 650i, followed by the 640d two-door Coupe in October 2011.
The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, which is a four door version, is available in Alpine White as a non-metallic color and in the following metallic body colors: Black Sapphire, Deep Sea Blue, Havanna, Orion Silver, Space Grey, Mineral White, Titanium Silver and Vermillion Red.
The standard leather upholstery is presented in Black, Ivory White and Cinnamon Brown colour combinations. Fine-wood trim American Oak, Fine-wood trim Poplar Grain Grey and Fine Brushed Aluminium are the three interior trims. The optional M Sport Package is also available in Carbon Black and Imola Red colors.
For style there's the electric glass roof, and for function, the rear seat folds in a 60:40 split.
The 6 Series Gran Coupe is powered by a BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine in the 640d Gran Coupe variant. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 5.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 250 km/hr. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the gearbox can be worked with the Shift Paddles mounted on the steering wheel.
The six-cylinder engine puts out 313hp @ 4,400 rpm and a torque of 630 Nm between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm. The average fuel consumption is 18.18 km/ltr (ARAI certified).
