After Uruguay, the Suzuki Swift Dzire heads to Chile
Kaustubh Shinde, They say sooner or later your passion finds you. Sometime in late 2009, I started writing for IAB and ever since then it has been a roller coaster ride for me. An amazing experience that has taught me a lot, taken me to new places, driven some great cars and met some amazing people. When you don't find me on IAB (very rarely), you will find me either at a coffee shop or an eatery or at the nearest gadget store. Hope you enjoy IAB as much as we do!
South America seems to be completely bowled over by the Suzuki Swift Dzire. After pleasing Uruguay, the Swift Dzire is heading northwards in South America to Chile. The Suzuki Swift Dzire is launched in Chile in three different variants:
- GA variant is the base one which comes without air conditioner for 5,790,000 pesos (6.54 lakhs)
- GA with AC is for 5,990,000 pesos (6.77 lakhs)
- GL is the fully loaded top variant is for 6,390,000 pesos (7.22 lakhs)
All variants are powered by the same 1.2L K series engine generating 85 hp mated to a manual transmission. Like Uruguay, Chile also does not get the 4 speed automatic variant that is present in India. It is being reported that they may get a diesel variant in the future.
The equipment list includes:
- Dual airbags
- Power steering.
- Air conditioning
- Four electric windows
So far the new Swift Dzire is enjoying its assignments outside India. We hope the Swift Dzire becomes as native to Chile as the Chupallas!
