Volkswagen Deutschland has launched a range of 'Sound' special edition models, and the VW Polo is a recipient. The VW Polo Sound follows the VW Beats launched in May 2016.
On the outside, the VW Polo Sound features gloss black front grille, static cornering lights enclosed in chrome, LED headlights, 'Sound' plaque on the B-pillar, 15-inch Woodstock dark graphite alloy wheels and 65% light absorbing darkened back glass. Inside, the VW Polo Sound gets brushed stainless steel pedals, leather-wrapped steering wheel, gearshift lever and handbrake, 'Equalizer' dashboard trim, 'Sound' cloth-upholstered seats with 'Wild Cherry' stitching and Composition Colour media system with six speakers.
The VW Polo Sound buyers can opt for the 'Sound Plus' package that adds LED headlights, 16-inch Salvador grey metallic alloy wheels, anti-theft wheel guards, license plate lighting in LED and 300-watt, 6-speaker beats audio system with an 8-channel amplifier. For those looking for a sportier styling, Volkswagen is offering the R-Line package that includes 'R'-style bumpers, 'R-Line' logo in the radiator grille and 17-inch Mallory sterling silver alloy wheels, as well as fog lights, cornering lights and anti-theft wheel guards.

The VW Polo Sound is priced from €17,060 (INR 12,46,221.26) in 3-door version and from €17,860 (INR 13,04,660.71) in 5-door version in Germany.
Engine options include 44 kW (60 PS) 1.0-litre petrol, 40 kW (60 PS) 1.0-litre BlueMotion petrol, 55 kW (75 PS) 1.0-litre petrol, 55 kW (75 PS) 1.0-litre Bluetmotion petrol, 66 kW (90 PS) 1.2-litre TSI BlueMotion petrol, 55 kW (75 PS) 1.4-litre TDI diesel, 55 kW (75 PS) 1.4-litre TDI BlueMotion diesel and 66 kW (90 PS) 1.4-litre TDI BlueMotion diesel. 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG are the transmission choices.
