Mercedes Benz have uploaded a Youtube video showing the new GL-Class in motion. The new GL rides on an extended M-Class platform and is the first of the three bigger SUVs (BMW X5, Audi Q7, GL-Class) to be put through a comprehensive overhaul program.
The next generation X5 and Q7 are at different stages of development as we write this and expected to break cover in the over the next three years.
Mercedes Benz India officials told IAB that the GL-Class is going to be launched in India next year. It will also be the largest vehicle to be assembled at the Chakan plant in Maharashtra. All the engines in the lineup have been updated providing more power for the US market.
The technical specifications for India is still under wraps and is likely to gain clarity in the months to follow.
