Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Toyota Glanza with prices starting at INR 7.22 lakh*. This is the first Toyota product derived from a Suzuki model under the new strategic partnership.
The Toyota Glanza, as most would know by now, is a rebadged Maruti Baleno. It’s differentiated from the donor car with a unique two-slat 3D chrome front grille. There are two equipment lines to select from, namely G and V. They are equivalent to the original model’s Zeta and Alpha equipment lines respectively.
Automatic, LED projector headlamps with DRL follow-me-home function, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED rear combination lamps with light guide, UV protection glass, automatic climate control and 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and smartphone-based navigation are some of the equipment highlights. Most key features are standard.
On the safety front, the Toyota Glanza comes with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, reverse parking sensors, reverse parking camera, speed alert system and more.
There are two engine options available, both BS-VI 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol units. One produces 61 kW (82.9 PS) and 113 Nm of torque and comes paired with a 5-speed MT or a CVT. The fuel economy delivered by this engine is 21.01 km/l (MT)/19.56 km/l CVT. The other develops 66 kW (89.7 PS) and 113 Nm of torque and comes linked to a 5-speed MT. It features mild-hybrid technology and returns a much higher fuel economy of 23.87 km/l.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor offers the Toyota Glanza with a 3-year/1,00,000 km standard warranty. The Maruti Baleno’s standard warranty coverage, on the other hand, is for 2-year/40,000 km. Back to the new model, the warranty can be extended to 5-year/2,20,000 km optionally. Five colour options are available - Cafe White, Sportin' Red, Insta Blue, Gaming Grey and Enticing Silver.
