The Tata Zest will get launched next month to mark a new chapter in the company's history. The sub-4 metre sedan will fight it out to put Tata Motors back on the minds of personal car owners, with best sellers Maruti Swift, Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Xcent being main competitors.
When quizzed about the possibility of introducing the kitted-out Tata Zest displayed at the Auto Expo, Pratap Bose, head of design at Tata Motors, told Indian Autos Blog on the sidelines of the Zest media drive program that it could be offered at a future stage as a special edition.

Bose added that the sporty body kit which includes aggressive bumper extensions, side skirts, 16-inch alloy wheels and contrast red underlining to the grille and ORVMs would be optional future accessories.
It is to be noted that the Tata Bolt hatchback with similar customized elements was showcased alongside the kitted-up Zest at the Auto Expo.
In all respects, the Zest and the Bolt are leaps ahead of existing Tata cars. Augmenting personalization options such as the body kits could attract a lot more younger buyers to dealerships.
