Tata Motors today launched its much anticipated Zest compact sedan at prices mentioned below:
Tata Zest Petrol Prices:
- Tata Zest XE - INR 4.64 lakhs
- Tata Zest XM - INR 5.25 lakhs
- Tata Zest XMS - INR 5.43 lakhs
- Tata Zest XT - INR 5.99 lakhs
Tata Zest Diesel Prices:
- Tata Zest 75 PS XE - INR 5.64 lakhs
- Tata Zest XM - INR 6.27 lakhs
- Tata Zest AMT XMA - INR 6.99 lakhs
- Tata Zest XMS - INR 6.45 lakhs
- Tata Zest XT - INR 6.99 lakhs

The Zest is available with a petrol and a diesel engine. The petrol engine is Tata's new turbocharged 1.2-liter Revotron engine which is capable of producing 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 140 Nm of torque, and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel Zest makes use of the Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet engine to make 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel is available with a 5-speed manual or a segment first 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). A base diesel variant in the 75 PS tune is also available.
The Revotron engine is good for 17.6 km/l and the 90 PS diesel engine (in the manual variants) is rated at 23 km/l (ARAI figures).

Based on the Vista's platform, the compact sedan rivals cars such as the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent. The Zest is produced at the Tata-Fiat joint venture plant located in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.
