Commenting on the launch of the Tiago XZ+ variant, Mr SN. Barman - Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Support, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said:
With its continued demand amongst our customer base, we are today proud to announce the introduction of the new top of line variant in its range – the Tiago XZ+. Offering features and styling from a segment above, we are confident that the XZ+ will be much loved by our customers and will further help us expand our market share and support in our journey to ‘win sustainably’ in the PV business.
Mechanically, the Tiago remains unchanged. The XZ+ trim is available with two engine options - 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that is good for 84 bhp of power and 114 Nm of peak torque, and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel motor that churns out 69 bhp and 140 Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The optional 5-speed AMT isn't available on the new top-spec model.
The new model has reached the dealerships and the first walkaround videos of the new model have started to pour in.
The Tata Tiago is the bestselling Tata car in India with monthly sales of around 8,000 units. The company has sold over 1.7 lakh Tiago’s since its launch in March 2016. Tata Motors recently launched the Tiago NRG and the Tiago JTP models in India.
