First export market for the Tiago.
Tata Motors announced the launch of the Tata Tiago in Nepal on Sunday. The new hatchback is available in the country in three trim levels: XE XM and XZ, and priced from NPR 22.55 lakhs (ex-showroom Kathmandu).
The Tata Tiago is available with both Revotron petrol engine and Revotorq diesel engine in Nepal. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine produces 85 PS (83.80 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque. The 1.05-litre three-cylinder diesel engine develops 70 PS (69.01 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 1,800-3,000 rpm.
A 5-speed manual transmission is standard and there's no option for an automatic transmission. The ARAI-rated fuel economy of the Tata Tiago petrol and Tata Tiago diesel is 23.84 km/l and 27.28 km/l respectively.
Key features of the Tata Tiago are dual-tone interior scheme, ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman with Turn-by-Turn Navi app and the Juke-Car app, parking sensors (rear), front airbags and ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control. The Tata Tiago is available in Nepal in six exterior colours: Striker Blue, Berry Red, Sunburst Orange, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White and Platinum Silver.
