Tata Motors will showcase the TaMo Racemo at the 2018 Auto Expo reports Autocar India. The 2-seater mid-engine sports car was unveiled almost a year ago at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March. In July 2017, it was reported that the company had shelved plans to launch the car in India.
The Tamo Racemo measures 3,835 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,208 in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,430 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm, which can be manually adjusted. A mid-mounted 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged 3-cyl engine developing 190 PS and 210 Nm of torque powers the rear wheels via a 6-speed AMT. Tata claims that it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in under 6 seconds.
On display alongside the Tamo Racemo will be souped-up versions of the Tiago and Tigor. Both cars are products of Tata Motors' tie-up with Jayem Automotives for developing and producing performance-oriented cars based on existing products under the banner ‘JT Special Vehicles’.
