Tata launched the Safari Storme in Maharasthra today. The SUV was available only in Delhi and few other states so far.
The Safari Storme has been fielded after a long wait and Tata has planned a phased nation wide launch. The car will be gradually made available through Tata Motors' 282 dealerships and 33 exclusive UV dealerships across the country.
Though the new SUV resembles the old Safari a lot, there has been lots of changes and improvements under the skin. The Safari Storme is based on Aria's chassis and employs hydroformed members in its construction.
With the new manufacturing technology, Tata's engineers have managed to achieve about 2.5 times more stiffness than the old Safari's chassis while reducing the weight by around 70 kgs.
