The Tata Safari Storme has been launched in three variants - LX, EX and VX. The VX variant can be had in both 2WD and 4WD formats.

The Safari Storme is powered by a 2.2L 16 Valve DOHC VTT VariCOR (Variable Turbine Technology with CRDI) that outputs 140 PS @ 4,000 RPM and 320 Nm @ 1,700-2,700 RPM. It is paired to a 5-speed G-76 (Mark II) manual gearbox.
The top-end model is equipped with features such as ABS, EBD, Dual front airbags, reverse guide system with display on the inside mirror, anti-glare rear view mirror, a music system that's compatible with USB, Bluetooth and iPod, power mirror (foldable and adjustable), power locks and approach lights.
The VX 4WD variant is fitted with a 4-wheel drive electronic shift-on-fly mechanism with a limited slip differential. All variants come with a 200 mm ground clearance.
The 4x2 variant's fuel efficiency is rated at 14kmpl while the 4x4 variant returns 13.2 kmpl (ARAI certified). Tata is offering 3 years /1,00,000 km warranty with an optional additional 1 year/50,000 km.
The Storme is launched in six colors - bronze, black, champagne, red, pearl white and pure white.
