Reported to launch in H1 2017.
Motor Octane reports that the Tata Nexon diesel variant will get a six speed AMT option when launched in H1 2017. If the report turns out to be true, it will be the second compact SUV to offer a six speed AMT, first being the Renault Duster.
As of now, the Nexon is confirmed to pack an all new 1.5-liter diesel engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. So it does make sense to offer a 6-speed AMT, instead of the 5-speed unit from the Tata Zest. Further affirming an AMT option is a recent spyshot of a Tata Nexon test mule, which featured an AMT gear selector.
The Nexon measures 3,995 mm long and has a ground clearance of 200 mm. It gets projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights in addition to a piano-black grille element.

Inside, the Nexon gets a slightly distinctive design, as compared to Tata's other products. Top-end grades feature a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 8 speakers for audio output. Voice control and command recognition are also available.
