Tata's festive season special is the Safari Storme, but it isn't going to be the only new arrival from them during this year.
The Indica eV2, marketed as the most efficient car in its class, has received new cosmetic revisions. The headlamps, bumper and grille are new, but only to the Indica eV2, as they are beautifying bigger family members on the Indica platform.
If you remember, Tata had transferred the Manza's front end into the Vista refresh last year.
Rear spoiler, sporty alloy wheels and body decals are few other visual features to write home about.
Tata continues to harp on the eV2's flagship feature - its 25kmpl mileage - returned by the reworked 1,396 cc CRDI engine delivering 70 PS @ 4,000 RPM and 140 NM at 1,800-3,000 RPM.
Technological changes such as improvements in the gear ratios, starter motor protection and a 10kg body weight reduction in addition to amenities like power windows, keyless entry, Bluetooth enabled music system and USB port and 60:40 rear seating, have reportedly bettered the Indica's user experience.
There are three variants to choose from - LE (base variant), LS and LX (top-end variant) - in two new colours -- Spicy Red and Sea Blue, apart from the existing three options Neo Orange, Jet Silver and Mint White.
The Tata Indica eV2 is priced between Rs. 401,162 and Rs. 487,619 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Indica eV2 can be booked for a down payment of just Rs.50,000. A warranty of 24 months or 75,000 km (whichever comes first) is offered.
