Powered by a 190 PS Revotron petrol motor.
Tata Motor's new sub-brand, Tamo, has finally revealed the awaited 2-seater mid-engine sports car - the Tamo Racemo - at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show today. Billed as the first product from Tamo, the Racemo will arrive in India this year.
The Racemo is designed around Tata’s latest Impact design language. It front fascia features sleek Bi-LED headlights, an aggressive nose and a dynamic front bumper with large intakes. The doors open in dihedral fashion, and it rides on large black-painted alloy rims. At the back, the Racemo has round LED taillamps, a centrally-mounted exhaust, an engine cover with intake holes and an aggressive diffuser.
Inside, the Tamo Racemo has a simple and functional, racecar-derived interior with three large displays in the instrument area. They will feature advanced navigation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring and over-the-air updates using Microsoft cloud-based technologies. Like a contemporary supercar, most of the functions are integrated on the steering wheel.
The Tamo Racemo is powered by a turbocharged 1.2L Revotron engine tuned to produce 190 hp at 6,500rpm and 210 Nm of torque at 2,500rpm. The power is fed to the rear wheels via a 6-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) with push button reverse and paddle shifters. It is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in under six seconds, thanks to the light kerb weight.
