The Suzuki Swift facelift, which is already on sale in many global markets, is seen at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show (Moscow International Auto Salon 2014) which started today for the media.
On the outside, the refreshed Swift gets LED daytime running lights on its foglight enclosure, a design highlight resembling the older Hyundai i20. Silver detailing on the lower part of the front bumper, a new color dubbed ‘Boost Blue’, and new wheel caps for non-alloy wheel variants complete the changes outside.
Inside, the car gets new seat fabrics, power folding wing mirrors, an auto-up function for the driver side power window and automatic headlights.
The hatchback is available in 3- and 5-door body styles in Russia, and is powered by the 1.2-liter four-cylinder VVT (petrol) engine which is capable of producing 92.5 bhp and 118 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearboxes. For the Russian market, Suzuki also sells a range-topping variant equipped with a 4WD system for better traction in snowy conditions.
The hatchback is priced between 584,000 Rubles to 769,000 Rubles (INR 9.78 lakhs to INR 12.88 lakhs).
The Swift facelift is expected to launch in India by the end of this year.
