The Suzuki iV-4 Concept has made its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The handsome SUV concept gives us an idea about the design direction of the new compact crossover SUV that is being developed.
The front fascia of the iV-4 Concept reminds us about the Suzuki XA-Alpha concept that made its world premiere at Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The production version seems to be a viable rival for the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke.
The typical Suzuki SUV styling cues like a clam-shell bonnet and a five part front grille are interpreted in a modern form. The front fascia has an aggressive appeal while the profile is relatively calm. The rear of the car is characterized by angular taillights, high-gloss black moulding, silver diffuser and twin exhaust pipes.
Suzuki hasn't announced the powertrain details of the SUV yet but expect compact petrol engines. Suzuki sources diesel engines from Fiat for it new SX4 S-Cross and for many models in its Indian lineup. So we won't be surprised if the same route is followed for the production version of the upcoming mini SUV.
