Will be introduced in India as the Maruti Ignis this year.
A brochure scan of the JDM-spec Suzuki Ignis has leaked online, revealing the standard exterior and interior colors as well as custom options that prospective customers could go for. The Suzuki Ignis was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last October, along with the accessorized Suzuki Ignis Trail Concept. A report in December said that the Ignis would launch in Japan in February.
The Suzuki Ignis comes with eight standard exterior colors of which three are new to the Suzuki brand. For further personalization, Japanese customers could spec the same with a contrasting black roof. The interior is finished in full black as standard, and can be spec'd with a dual tone white color as well as a choice between orange and silver trims.
For the Japanese market, the Suzuki Ignis, measuring about 3.7 m long, is powered by a 1.25-liter DualJet petrol four cylinder engine paired to an SHVS mild hybrid system. It comes with a CVT and features an ALLGRIP AWD system in top-end trims.

As for the Indian market, Maruti-Suzuki could showcase the Maruti Ignis at the Auto Expo 2016 next month, and put it on sale during the festive season. The Maruti Ignis will rival the Mahindra KUV100 and top-spec variants of the Renault Kwid.
