Powered by the 1.0-litre K10B motor.
The Suzuki Celerio which made its Indonesian debut at the IIMS 2014 last month would be launched towards the end of this year, reports Otosia.
Going by the accessorized show car, the Celerio for the Indonesian market could come with a slightly extended front grille with chrome slats. The global replacement for the Alto (A-star in India) would be positioned below Suzuki Splash (Ritz in India) in PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales' (SIS) B-Segment portfolio.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder K10B petrol motor which develops 68 PS (67.04 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. A 5-speed manual and an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) are the gearbox options in India, though the Thai market offers a CVT in place of the latter.
The Celerio measures 3,600 mm long, 1,600 mm wide, 1,560 mm tall and features a 2.425 mm wheelbase. The boot space and turning radius stand at 235 litres and 4.7 m respectively.
SIS has confirmed that it will launch a new model by the end of 2014 and dealers have revealed that the new car in question is indeed the Suzuki Celerio. The Indonesian subsidiary could source the Celerio either from India or from Thailand which also exports the car to Europe.
