VisionS concept to debut at Geneva Motor Show next week.
In an interview with ET Auto, Werner Eichhorn, head of sales and marketing at Skoda hinted that the production-spec Skoda VisionS SUV will make its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October.
He was quoted saying:
A new SUV to be priced above the Yeti, which is being showcased at the Paris motor show, is expected to follow [in India] in 2017-18.
Rumored to be called Skoda Kodiak, the mid-size premium SUV is being considered for the SUV-friendly Indian market, which is expected to launch in 2017. It will be based on the MQB platform from the second generation VW Tiguan, and will be the first of its kind from Skoda that will sit above the Skoda Yeti crossover.
It will share its engine lineup with its German cousin, which will include a lineup of 2.0-liter TSI and TDI engines with power outputs ranging from 150 PS (148 hp) to 240 PS (237 hp). An AWD system would be standard in top-end grades of the Skoda Kodiak.

Exterior design is likely to draw cues from Skoda’s latest angular design language, which has been accurately rendered by IAB's artist, Shoeb Kalania. It features angular LED taillamps, dual exhaust pipes enclosed by the black-plastic bumper, triangular reflectors, and long butterfly grille flanked by sleek LED headlamps with LED DRLs.
