Confirmed to make world debut at 2016 Paris Motor Show.
Indian Autos Blog learns that Skoda's first ever mid-size SUV, rumored to be called the Skoda Kodiaq or Skoda Kodiak, will arrive in India in late 2017.
The Skoda Kodiaq is confirmed to make its global debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show this October, following the unveil of its precursor, the Skoda VisionS Concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It will go on sale in key European markets towards the end of 2016.
The flagship SUV will feature angular LED taillamps, dual exhaust pipes enclosed by the black-plastic bumper, triangular reflectors, and long butterfly grille flanked by sleek LED headlamps with LED DRLs.
It will be based on the MQB platform from the second generation VW Tiguan, and will be the first of its kind from Skoda that will sit above the Skoda Yeti crossover. The engine lineup will be sourced from the new Skoda Superb, which will include a 1.8 TSI petrol engine and 2.0 TDI engines, which will be paired to DSG gearboxes. An AWD system could also be offered in top-end trims.
