Top speed is well over 200 km/h.
The top-of-the-line Opel Adam S has broken cover at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The GM-owned German brand had earlier unveiled a study version of the Adam S at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and thanks to the positive reaction, Opel has decided to put it into production.
The Opel Adam S is available in 10 different colors, and customers can choose four different roof color combinations for their Adam S. Other characteristic exterior features include a subtle front chin spoiler, side skirts and a sportier rear bumper enclosing a bold exhaust tailpipe. For improved downforce, a roof spoiler has been integrated to the package. Customers can opt for additional "S" graphics on the roof and bodywork.
Inside, four different type of seats are available out of which the optional Recaro seats are exclusive to the Adam S. The two-tone theme continues inside with a black and red leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake. The instrument panel and doors get red and white illumination.
The highlight of the Adam S is what's under the hood. It's powered by a revised 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine that produces 150 PS and 220 Nm of torque. Compared to the standard Adam, it produces 50% more power and 70% more torque, which promises some driving fun. It is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and hits 0-100 km/h in 8.5-seconds, before hitting top speed which is "well over 200 km/h".
The Opel Adam S will be available for order from November 2014, and deliveries will begin in the mid-2015.
