Will be the only variant of the X-Trail to launch in the country.
Autocar India reports that Nissan India will introduce the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, which will be the only variant of the mid-size SUV to be sold.
In Japan, the X-Trail Hybrid is powered an "RM31" electric motor with maximum power output of 41 PS and maximum torque of 160 Nm and a "MR20DD" 2.0L engine with maximum power of 147 PS @ 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 207 Nm @ 4,400 rpm. An X-Tronic CVT is paired to the hybrid powertrain, while an electric AWD system is fitted as standard.

The crossover rides on Renault-Nissan’s Common Module Family (CMF) architecture, and is offered in 5-seater and 7-seater variants.
Few of the features expected are electrically adjustable seats, Active Engine Brake, Active Traction Control and Active Ride Control, LED projector headlamps and DRLs, cruise control, Around View Monitor, dual-zone climate control system, 7-inch Nissan Connect infotainment system, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, 4 airbags and 18-inch alloy wheels.
