Nissan Motor India today launched a special edition on the Terrano compact SUV. The Nissan Terrano Groove limited edition is priced at INR 11.45 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi, and gets new features over the XL (O) grade on which it is based.
The most significant feature addition is the Rockford Fosgate speaker system. Complementing the high-end speakers are ambient lights, LED scuff plates and branded floor mats. On the outside, the Terrano Groove gets a matte black wrap for its roof, and chrome highlights for the foglights, taillights and bootlid.
Overall, Nissan says that the Groove edition gets additional equipment worth INR 30,000 at no extra cost to the buyer. It is however limited to only 250 units. The XL (O) uses the 1.5-liter four-cylinder K9K diesel engine to produce 85 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Matched to a 5-speed manual transmission, the Terrano is good for 20.45 km/l.
Based on the Renault Duster, the Terrano was introduced in India in October 2013. Where the Duster gets a 4WD variant, the Terrano is sold only with front-wheel drive.
Nissan India also announced a new marketing campaign for the Terrano which will see Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput as the brand ambassador.
