More details about the Nissan Terrano, which is expected to go on sale soon, have surfaced. The folks at RushLane seem to have a variant wise features and equipment list for the Nissan branded Renault Duster.
The 1.5-liter diesel is available in two tunes of 85PS and 110PS. Even on the base XE variant, Nissan seems to have included a driver side airbag as standard along with front and rear power windows and a multi-information display. The next variant gets ABS, EBD and BA along with a music system and foglights. This trim line called the XL, is available in both tunes of 85PS and 110PS.
The 110PS diesel in the top-end XV Premium trim gets dual airbags, ABS, EBD, 16-inch alloy wheels, reverse parking sensors, rear AC and leather seats.
The petrol would be available in a single trim only and not in the base variant. The 1.6-liter petrol in XL trim gets ABS, EBD, BA, a music system, piano black center console and foglights.
Pre-bookings for the Terrano are now open and you can do so using Nissan India's website. After filling out your personal details, the website also asks you to choose the variant and color and whether you wish to exchange your existing vehicle and avail any financial assistance.
Nissan will be charging a premium for the Terrano which we estimate should be in the region of INR 50,000-60,000 more than an equivalent Duster. Going based on these features (given that an airbag is standard even on the base variant), we think Nissan is attempting to justify the high pricing.
