The Renault Duster AWD has just been launched in the country and its cousin from Nissan will feature the same hardware. The i-DriveTech shift-on-the-fly 4x4 system, a creation of Nissan, features three driving modes - 2WD, Auto and AWD.

Other noteworthy features on the AWD include Electronic Torque Control, ASR, ESP and Hill Start Assist.

Likely to be available only on the top-end variant, the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine in its 110 PS avatar generates a peak torque of 248 Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Just like regular variants, the Terrano AWD will demand a premium over the Duster AWD. The rebadged compact crossover with the 4x4 system was showcased at the Moscow Motor Show in August.
