Dugar Brothers and Sons, the authorized distributors of Nissan vehicles in Nepal, have launched the Micra and the Micra Active at the 2015 Nepal Auto Show (2015 NADA Auto Show). The Micra for Nepal is available only with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine developing 76 PS and 104 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Features on the hatchback include front and rear power windows, chrome door handles, a 2-DIN Bluetooth enabled music system, i-Key with an engine starter button, foglights, manual AC and dual front airbags. The Micra for Nepal is available in 7 exterior colors.
The Micra is exported from the Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In the Indian market, in addition to the petrol engine, the Micra is also available with a 1.5-liter diesel engine, and a CVT gearbox for the 1.2-liter petrol.
The Micra Active is priced at NPR 28.5 lakhs (INR 17.84 lakhs), the Micra XL at NPR 29.5 lakhs (INR 18.46 lakhs) and the Micra XL (O) at NPR 31.5 lakhs (INR 19.71 lakhs). It's rivals include the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Ford Figo. The new X-Trail was also launched at the show.
