Will be launched in Brazil in August 2016.
Nissan has revealed more details about the new Nissan Kicks compact SUV and finally released its interior images. First unveiled in concept form at the 2014 Sao Paulo Auto Show, the Nissan Kicks crossover is now ready for production and will go on sale in Brazil in August 2016.
The Nissan Kicks measures 4,295 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. Nissan isn't going all the way with revealing the specifications just yet, but does mention that the Honda HR-V rival will come equipped with a 7-inch colour screen for the infotainment system and 360 degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection.
A report from Autos Segredos says that the Nissan Kicks will be powered by the 1.6-litre flex-fuel engine from the Nissan March and Nissan Versa. The engine produces 114 hp when run on petrol and 116 hp when run on ethanol, and will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The report also states that sales will commence on the 5th of August.
The Nissan Kicks will be initially produced at the company's plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. In FY16, Nissan will start building the Kicks crossover at its plant in Resende, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. More Latin American left-hand drive markets will follow later in fiscal year 2016. The Japanese automaker plans to eventually sell this crossover in more than 80 global markets.
