Nissan will launch its flagship GT-R in India, as per a report on Autocar India. Until now, the company was reportedly worried about our country's fuel quality, preventing Nissan from bringing the GT-R to India.

It must be mentioned that there are a few units of the GT-R in India imported individually. Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and India's first F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan are two private owners. The GT-R was also showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo by Nissan India.

The 2015 edition of the GT-R was revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show in November last year. The car is powered by the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 developing 550 PS at 6,400 rpm and 632 Nm of torque between 3,200 rpm to 5,800 rpm. A 6-speed auto gearbox is used to send power to all four wheels.

Significant to the 2015 model is an all-new "precision-constructed, multi-material hybrid body", that combines steel, carbon fiber and die-cast aluminum to achieve high stiffness and light weight, says Nissan. Other improvements made in the car include a modified front stabilizer, new bush links, electronic control of shock absorber valves, better brakes, multi LED headlights and an optional carbon fiber rear wing.

Earlier this year, Nissan India pulled out the 370Z sportscar citing lack of demand.
