To launch in the market later this year.
GM India has unveiled the production-spec 2017 Chevrolet Beat, Beat Activ and Beat Essentia, which will launch in the market later this year. The new Beat is a heavily revised version of the current model, and is not related to the Chevrolet Spark sold in other markets.
The exterior was previewed by the Beat Activ and Essentia concepts at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. The styling does draw cues from the Chevrolet Spark, and looks more mature than the current Beat. It has a new 2-part grille flanked by large headlamps, plenty of chrome details, and round foglamps on either side of the lower bumper. The rear-end has not been revealed yet. It's likely to get redesigned taillamps with LED inserts and repositioned number plate area.
Inside, the new Beat will feature a dual-tone dashboard housing a 7-inch MyLink infotainment system. It is nearly similar to that of the Beat Activ Concept, complete with the the bike-inspired instrument cluster seen in the current model as well.

The new Chevrolet Beat will continue to ride on the old M300 platform of the current Beat. The engine lineup is reported to comprise of 1.0L, three-cylinder diesel and petrol engines. The latter is a new unit that is basically a downsized version of the 1.4L four-cylinder Ecotech motor from the Spark.
