Heavily re-worked version of the current model.
Overdrive reports that the next generation Chevrolet Beat will launch in early-2017. This contradicts reports of its launch taking place later this year.
The exterior draws styling cues from the international Chevrolet Spark, featuring a new 2-part grille flanked by large headlamps, plenty of chrome details, and round foglamps on either side of the lower bumper. The rear-end could get redesigned taillamps with LED inserts and repositioned number plate area.
Inside, there is a dual-tone dashboard housing a 7-inch MyLink infotainment system and a revised bike-inspired instrument cluster. Improvements to the build quality as well as materials are expected in the new Beat.
The next gen Beat will continue to ride on the current Beat's platform. Engine lineup is reported to comprise of 1.0L, three-cylinder diesel and petrol engines. The latter is the downsized version of the 1.4L four-cylinder Ecotech motor from the Spark.
