Mercedes-Benz India today introduced two brand-shaping models, the Mercedes CLS Class priced at INR 76.5 lakhs, a facelift that comes for the first time with a diesel engine in India, and the Mercedes E400 Cabriolet priced at INR 78.5 lakhs (both prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
Mercedes CLS250 CDI
The Mercedes CLS250 CDI four-door coupe is powered by a four-cylinder 2,143 cc diesel engine that develops 204 hp @ 3,800 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,600 - 1,800 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and is driven through a 7G-TRONIC PLUS (dual-clutch) gearbox.
Features include Diamond grille, Multibeam LED headlamp, AIRMATIC suspension, start-stop system, 17-inch 10-spoke wheels, 8-inch free-standing display, new 4-key center panel, memory function for seat, steering column and external mirror, COMAND online control and display (featuring Mercedes-Benz apps), 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system and PARKTRONIC active parking assist.
Mercedes E400 Cabriolet
The Mercedes E400 Cabriolet is powered by V6 2,996 cc petrol engine that develops 333 hp @ 5,250 - 6,000 rpm and 480 Nm @ 1,600 - 4,000 rpm, and is paired to the 7G-TRONIC PLUS gearbox. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
Features on the E400 Cabriolet are the acoustic soft top that can be opened and closed fully in 20 seconds at speeds up to 40 km/h, electric head restraints, 7-inch screen, Mercedes-Benz apps on the COMAND Online control and display, 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, Parking package with 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist, Keyless Go and start-stop.
