Mercedes-Benz India today launched its entry-level sedan, the CLA, in New Delhi. Following are the prices, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
- Mercedes CLA 200 CDI Style - INR 31.5 lakhs
- Mercedes CLA 200 CDI Sport - INR 35.9 lakhs
- Mercedes CLA 200 Sport Petrol - INR 35 lakhs
The CLA is available with a petrol and diesel engine in India, both getting a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission turning the front wheels. The CLA 45 AMG, which was launched last year, gets a 4WD system with a 2.0-liter high-performance petrol engine though.
The CLA 200 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol unit which is capable of 181 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,200-1,400 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and achieves a top-speed of 235 km/h. Mercedes claims an ARAI rated efficiency of 15.04 km/l for this variant.
The CLA 200 CDI is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which is good for 134 bhp between 3,600-4,400 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,600-3,000 rpm. The diesel CLA accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and hits a top-speed of 220 km/h. It delivers 17.9 km/l.
Features such as 6-airbags, ABS, EBD and ASR, Bi-Xenon headlights, reversing camera, a Harman Kardon surround system with 12-speakers, panoramic roof, 17-inch alloy wheels and a COMAND infotainment system are seen on the baby Merc.
Dealers of Mercedes-Benz India began accepting bookings for the CLA earlier this month.
